The Aguja 225 is a wooden needle with a rearward centre of gravity, which gives it an almost vertical position at rest and extraordinary casting performance. With slow or medium retrieves on a low rod, the Aguja 225 performs a walking the dog wide and accentuated movement, while with fast retrieves on a high rod it is perfect for being skipped on the surface. Thanks to its structure, it maintains remarkable castability even in the presence of headwind or crosswind. Its distinctive movement also adapts well to choppy seas: the Aguja remains stable, with the head always out of the water, without diving into the waves.
For the assembly, we use a 1 mm stainless steel through-frame, reinforced with binding to ensure maximum strength. The surface is finished with a reflective film and an airbrush paint, then protected by three layers of epoxy resin for greater durability. We recommend equipping it with two hooks of size #2, keeping the overall weight between hooks and split ring within 3 grams.
